Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section, together with members of our local Scout Group, joined together to commemorate the lives lost in the World Wars.
They looked very impressive in their smartest uniforms, each unit with a flag. I wish I could show you a picture, but with so many people there from different units, I don’t know the photo permissions for them all!
You’ll have to make do with this picture of the backs of people as they plant their crosses and lay their wreaths.
We had a real bugler this year, too, with a real bugle – over 100 years old. The excitement of that may have been lost on the Brownies and Guides, but I (as a trumpet player) enjoyed it.
