On the difficulty of returning to reality

Brownie camp is over, the children all gone. The tents have been taken down and the toilet block cleaned.

The leaders have gone home and fallen asleep in the bath, wine glass in hand (I may be exaggerating for effect).

The unpacking has been done, washing started, and nice emails from parents received and shared with the other leaders.

And today I had to go to London to a meeting with a consultancy company about a really complicated model of an aspect of our business which is being closely scrutinised by the regulator.

Can I go back to the field now please?
