Good books are evil

There are many things I could be doing.

I could be making emergency contact lists for next Saturday’s Starquest event.

I could be writing instructions for the wide game for camp, or writing up the term plan for Brownies (yes, I am aware that term is almost half over already).

I could be learning Kempo techniques.

Or answering accounting-related questions for Guiding leaders in my area.

Or even writing a more meaningful blog post.

I could do any of these things.

What I’m actually going to do this evening is this:

I’m going to sit on the sofa (hopefully with a cat on my lap), and read.  Because I have no will-power, and I want to know what happens next.

And that’s how I know that good books are evil.
