We took twelve lucky Brownies to London at the weekend – to Celebrate, a national Girlguiding event for World Thinking Day.
The day was an adventure right from the start – because we went on the train. The journey was broken by a little FaceTime with some Guides. They were on a sleepover, and had been FaceTiming with Guides all around the world!
When we got to London we had to pass through Kings Cross, so of course we took a slight detour to find Platform 9 3/4.
Eventually we arrived at Alexandra Palace, ready for our day of adventure.
What did we do?
It would be easier to ask what we didn’t!
We’ve been climbing, to a roller disco, met the Chief Guide, done circus skills, pyrography, and human table football, there was a petting zoo, we ate candy floss and ran through custard (it’s a science thing), and even found a few minutes to relax.
After our long and tiring day of having fun, we popped into a Lebanese restaurant for dinner. The food was very popular!
